The Elk–Antelope discoveries
The Elk and Antelope fields lie in Papua New Guinea’s Gulf Province. Their discovery and appraisal formed an important chapter in InterOil’s development. InterOil’s 2013 CEO retirement announcement credited Phil Mulacek’s exploration leadership with the Elk–Antelope discoveries.

Phil’s contribution belongs to his period as InterOil’s founder and chief executive, before his retirement as CEO in 2013. Later ownership changes and project decisions took place in subsequent chapters of the fields’ development.
